Todd Reed is the Managing Partner of Reed & Scardino LLP. Mr. Reed concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate and commercial law, real estate and technology. Prior to founding Reed & Scardino, Mr. Reed was a Partner at both the law firms of Jackson Walker L.L.P., and Bickerstaff, Heath, Smiley, Pollan, Kever & McDaniel, L.L.P., and Senior Real Estate Counsel at Ocwen Financial Corporation.
Mr. Reed has extensive experience representing public and emerging growth companies in diverse corporate, real estate and commercial law matters including business entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, private offerings of debt and equity securities, negotiation of credit facilities, technology protection and licensing, software development and licensing, equipment purchase and lease agreements, wholesale telecommunications services agreements, and franchise arrangements. Mr. Reed also has extensive experience representing clients in the financing, acquisition and sale of commercial real estate and commercial leasing transactions. Mr. Reed represents clients with operations focused in telecommunications, software development, healthcare services, electrical power generation, banking and financial services, restaurants and entertainment, government contracting, manufacturing, wholesale/retail sales, and real estate development and management.
Mr. Reed is a frequent speaker on legal issues facing small businesses and business entity formation in the State of Texas.
Education & Admissions
Mr. Reed received his Master of Laws degree with distinction from Tulane University School of Law in 1997 and his J.D. from the University of Oklahoma, College of Law in 1994. In 1988 Mr. Reed received his B.A. degree from Tulane University. Mr. Reed is a member of both the State Bar of Texas and the State Bar of Kansas. Mr. Reed is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, Southern, and Western, Districts of Texas. He is also a Certified Texas Mediator.
